I had two invites (from the same person) to sign up for Goowy. Then I got six more from another person.
The so-called service (no, I'm not linking to it) handles contacts, calendar, email, rss etc etc.
I replied to the first writer that I don't like trusting personal information to unknown outsiders.
Bless my soul if the first thing Goowy does when it receives your contact list is to write to all your contacts inviting them to sign up.
This is the default option. If you're in a hurry, as I guess my friends were, you immediately irritate all your contacts.
Very clever Goowy. I hope you fail change your ways.
Update: See comments for Goowy's response.

We are very sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused. This was not at all our intent and we thought we made it very clear during the process (the invite font was big and red).
Since a few people have had a problem with this we have changed the process so that this will not happen in the future.
Again we are very sorry for any inconvenience this has caused and appreciate your understanding and support.
You can see our posting about this on our site @ http://blogger.goowy.com
